Nick Pasqual was convicted of the attempted murder of Allie Shehorn

An actor who once appeared on How I Met Your Mother was sentenced to 32 years to life for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Nick Pasqual was previously convicted of first-degree residential burglary with a person present and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent, according to ABC7.

The outlet subsequently reported that on Tuesday, June 2, Pasqual was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison.

Prosecutors had accused Pasqual of breaking into the Los Angeles home of Allie Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist, in May 2024, and “inflicted great bodily injury upon the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence.”

Shehorn was found suffering more than 20 stab wounds and lying in a pool of her own blood, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Prior to the stabbing, Shehorn had filed for a restraining order against Pasqual, accusing him of domestic violence, according to the paper.

Per ABC, Shehorn testified during Pasqual’s trial, appearing in court with visible scars.

She told the court that prior to the stabbing, she was in a violent fight with Pasqual, leading to their breakup.

“I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open,” she said, according to ABC. “I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there’s another lock on that door.”

Pasqual was arrested after the first incident and was released from jail on $50,000 bail five days before he stabbed Shehorn.

Shehorn is an accomplished makeup artist, with credits on Mean Girls, Rebel Moon and Babylon.

Pasqual appeared in several television shows, including one episode of How I Met Your Mother.
